Intensive Outpatient Program
What is IOP?
The Woburn Addiction Treatment IOP is here to guide individuals through a safe and smooth transition from residential programs and acute care. By moving to a less restrictive level of care, people can take the next step in their addiction recovery journey. Our IOP near Boston, MA, allows individuals to balance alcohol and drug treatment with school, work and family responsibilities. We offer two Intensive Outpatient Program options: Daytime IOP and Nighttime IOP. Learn more about this tier of our Greater Boston addiction treatment center.
After the transition from Day Treatment to Intensive Outpatient Programming, individuals can attend our addiction treatment program which is offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Our Intensive Outpatient Program includes group and individual therapy up to 5 times per week for a length of stay that is individually based on need. The program meets for 3.5 hours and typically includes a minimum of two (2) sessions: A “Therapy Group” that allows individuals to address issues of current concern, and a “Skills Group” that focuses on recovery skills.
Our Nighttime Intensive Outpatient Program makes it easy to accommodate drug and alcohol treatment into busy schedules, so you or your loved one can get help with addiction while working, attending school or raising a family. Woburn Addiction Treatment Nighttime IOP sessions are offered three (3) nights per week from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Like with our traditional Greater Boston IOP, treatment includes goal setting, drug education, skill-building and personal inventories in group settings. Individual therapy is scheduled as needed.
