Jennifer Ansted

Jennifer has a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Drama Therapy from Lesley University. Jennifer previously interned with 2nd Act and facilitated drama therapy workshops across New England which provided education about the opioid epidemic, focused on harm reduction, and sought to end the stigma surrounding substance use disorder. This ignited a passion in Jennifer for working in addiction recovery. Prior to her work in mental health, Jennifer was a middle school teacher. At Woburn Addiction Treatment, Jennifer brings her unique experiences as a mental health professional, drama therapist, and former educator to her group and individual therapy sessions. Jennifer takes a client-centered approach to the therapeutic process and uses a combination of techniques that are catered to each individual’s needs. This includes a variety of CBT, DBT, and expressive therapy approaches. She is passionate about helping clients find what will make them feel fulfilled and empowered in their long-term recovery.
